More Music Venues, No Problem
The Raleigh music scene wouldn’t be what it is today without venues to support it. From arenas that bring in major headliners to bars and clubs that host up and coming talent, Raleigh music venues support musicians from all walks of life.
Here are just a handful of music venues that populate Raleigh.
Red Hat Amphitheater
The Red Hat Amphitheater has become a beacon for live entertainment in the North Carolina and the Southeast. Here are some of their more popular music festivals.
Hopscotch Music Festival
Easily one of Raleigh’s most iconic music festivals, Hopscotch is held over 3 days. In previous years, it has hosted over 130 bands across a dozen venues. From a large outdoor main stage in Raleigh City Plaza to intimate club shows, the festival offers music in almost every genre imaginable—rock, hip-hop, metal, folk, electronic, experimental, and more.
Hopscotch is known for adventurous lineups, memorable performances, and a fan-friendly atmosphere. Approximately 25% of the festival’s performers are from North Carolina; no wonder the music scene here is so hot.
Curated by platinum-selling rapper and North Carolina native, J.Cole, Dreamville is a one-day, multi-stage festival at downtown Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park. It’s a one-of-a-kind celebration of local culture, food, and art. Cole, Big Sean, Young Thug, Nelly, Rapsody, King Mez, and more!
